Bharti Airtel has introduced a range of revamped prepaid plans designed to focus on voice and SMS services, excluding data, in response to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) guidelines. These changes cater to users who prefer straightforward communication options without the inclusion of data.

Key updates to the prepaid plans include:
- ₹509 Prepaid Plan:
- Benefits: Unlimited voice calls, 900 SMS messages, and 84 days validity.
- Additional Perks: Free access to the Airtel Xstream App, Apollo 24/7 Circle membership, and complimentary Hello Tunes.
- Effective Monthly Cost: Approximately ₹170.
- Changes: The plan previously included 6GB of data, which has now been removed to better cater to users prioritizing voice and SMS.
- ₹1,999 Annual Prepaid Plan:
- Benefits: Unlimited voice calls, 3,600 SMS messages, and 365 days validity.
- Additional Perks: Similar to the ₹509 plan, it includes access to the Airtel Xstream App, Apollo 24/7 Circle membership, and free Hello Tunes.
- Effective Monthly Cost: Approximately ₹153.
The removal of data from these plans targets users who primarily use voice and SMS services, such as those with basic 2G phones or dual SIM setups, preventing them from paying for unused data. The new plans are now available on Airtel’s website, offering a more tailored and cost-effective solution for such customers.
